Sparky, a Yellow Lab Needs a New Home

Screen Shot 2014-06-06 at 7.11.05 AM  Sparky is a well-loved and well-behaved Yellow Lab who has found himself homeless after his owner lost his job, and then his house.  He is ten years old, not overweight and gets along with kids, other dogs and cats.

Screen Shot 2014-06-06 at 7.10.56 AMWhile he is healthy for his age, he is past playing ball with you, but very much enjoys multiple short walks throughout the day.  Like many older large-breed dogs he is on a daily medication for joint pain and also has something called Laryngeal Paralysis, which means it is difficult for him to breathe when he is stressed or outside in hot weather.  LP does not require special medication, but we need to limit his exercise during the heat of the day.

Sparky is a happy dog whose tail wags all day.  He particularly loves men, but is sweet with everyone he meets.  He is good on-leash and a gentleman in the house.

Older Dogs = All the Love, Half the Exercise – Please consider welcoming a senior dog into your home.

Sparky is being fostered here in Greenwich by Cat Assistance

Sparky will be at Pet Pantry at 190 Railroad Ave in Greenwich, Tel. (203) 869-6444) on Saturday, June 7th from 12:30 to 2:30.

To learn more about him or to schedule a meeting, please contact Kerri Ann @ [email protected]
