Six weeks ago… Bonded senior German Shepherds, Sheila & Sparky, ten-year-old brother and sister were rescued from NYC Animal Control after being surrendered by their owner moving out of state.
They were pulled from certain euthanasia in a united effort by Northwind Kennels and Adopt A Dog! The ugly sweater party and fundraiser at Carriage House Motor Cars benefited Adopt-A-Dog. The event featured a live fundraiser with a fantastic array of items including classic and collectible cars and both jewels and watches from Manfredi. The showroom doors were flung open and guests enjoyed the balmy temps outside, where cars were on display. Proceeds from the event will be put toward Adopt A Dog’s dedicated veterinary clinic on site. The clinic will serve adoptable pets of the rescue group as well as other area animal rescue groups for a reduced rate. Continue Reading →
