Fund Established for Family of Greenwich Police Officer Quagliani

Last Tuesday Greenwich Police Officer Justin Quagliani died suddenly in his Greenwich home.

His family as well as friends, colleagues and community members are also mourning his loss.

He leaves behind a wife Mia and three year old daughter Nadia.

Beyond emotional and financial burdens, Quagliani’s family will be dealing with many other hardships as they make the transition to life without him.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by family friend Tami Summerton a local school teacher, who wrote, “To his family, Justin was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and cousin. To his friends, Justin was an empathetic, unwavering confidant. To his community, Justin was a dedicated and proud Greenwich, CT police officer. To his country, Justin was an established and brave Army veteran. Justin was an asset to every life he touched.”

Ms Summerton asks that people keep Officer Quagliani’s wife, daughter and loved ones in their prayers.

“Though Justin will be watching over his girls from heaven, we vow to continue to watch over them on Earth,” she said.

The GoFundMe is intended to help with funeral and financial costs the loss brought to the family.

“At this difficult time, we ask for donations for the family as they courageously and bravely lay their beloved, our beloved, Justin to rest with the Lord,” she wrote.

As of Monday morning the fund has raised $16,781 out of $25,000.
