GoFundMe Fundraiser for Nate Covello Announced

A fundraiser has been organized via GoFundMe.com for Nate Covello. Many know Mr. Covello from growing up in Greenwich and volunteering at St Roch’s Feast.

Of course, many of the town’s younger residents remember his steady presence at Greenwich High School where he worked security.

According to the GoFundMe, which has a $75,000 goal, Mr. Covello had a bad fall and sustained serious injuries.

“Over the past year, he has been in the hospital or rehab doing his best to recover. This is an enormous undertaking and is frightfully expensive,” his friends wrote in the GoFundMe.

The fundraiser noted Mr. Covello needs round-the-clock care and a renovation to make his home wheelchair accessible.

The GoFundMe asks, “Please help him deal with both of these huge expenses. Whatever you can give will be very much appreciated. Nate and friends so appreciate your contribution.”

As of Wednesday morning $5,825 had been raised.
