With slower than expected collections in early November, the American Red Cross has issued an Urgent Need for blood donors. Blood donations often decline from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. Currently blood donations are being distributed to hospitals as quickly as they come in. Eligible donors are asked to schedule an appointment and donate blood now to help prevent a seasonal decline and ensure a stable supply so that patient needs are met.
The American Red Cross will be hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, December 3rd from 8:00am to 1:45 pm in the Greenwich Public Safety Complex/New Greenwich Police Department garage.
For online sign-up: simply follow these instructions: Go to Redcrossblood.org
