Urgent Need for Blood in Greenwich; Blood Drive Scheduled for Aug 2

There is an URGENT NEED FOR BLOOD in Greenwich, in large part due to the pandemic, but also, this time of year is often a time of need because of people going on vacation.

The upcoming August 2 drive has many available appointment slots, and doors can register to donate blood by either calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or by going online to www.RedCrossBlood.org  however there are a few CHANGES for this drive.

No walk ins. Must wear mask to enter building.

Drink lots of water in days leading up to the drive and boost your Hemoglobin by eating food rich in iron.

First, online (www.RedCrossBlood.org) it says the drive will be held at Christ Church (254 East Putnam, Greenwich).

In actuality, the drive will be held next door at Temple Sholom, just across the parking lot.

Second, the time for this drive has been slightly changed from the normal times, it will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
