The band Fast Forward filled the St. Lawrence Club with rock and roll music spanning the decades. In fact the club itself has a long history dating back to 1923.
With so many motorcycle clubs invited to the event, the turnout was tremendous. Paul Romanchuk estimated about 300 turned out for the fundraiser, which benefited Kids in Crisis. The organization recently had its entire state funding cut.
Cos Cob Riders president Rocco Ceci said he was very pleased with the turnout. For just a $20 donation, supporters of Kids in Crisis had a delicious meal, and enjoyed live music from the Fast Forward Band.
The Cos Cob Riders have a reciprocal agreement with several other club sand go to each other’s charity fundraisers. Clubs that attended the event included Mercenaries, Resurrection, Eagle Riders 588, Charter Oak and Old Bones.
