GPD Catch Up with Driver in 2019 Hit & Run Crash

Greenwich Police traveled to Stamford Police Dept on Friday to take custody of a Stamford woman wanted in a hit and run crash in the area of Railroad Avenue back on Sept 18, 2019.

According to Lieutenant Martin O’Reilly, Isabelle A Karpe , now 27, left the scene of the accident without providing any information to the other driver.

A nearby witness saw what was going on and took a photo of Karpe’s license plate as she drove away. 

Karpe was charged with Driving Under Suspension, Evadeing Responsibility/Injury/Property Damage, Failure to grant Right of Way on a Private Road, Failure to Insure Motor Vehicle.

She was unable to post her $5,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 10, 2021.
