Update, Wednesday, Sept 19, 2018, 3:00pm: The winner of the rhyming poem contest for two general admission tickets to the Wine + Food Festival on Sept 22 is Andrea Abbott. Here is her poem:

Come and celebrate!

Be dazzled, be jeweled

For the eighth Greenwich festival

Of Wine + Food!

A splendid fundraiser!

And a fantastic show,

Supported by our sponsor,

PepsiCo!

Go and find CAVA!

Their Greek and Mediterranean fare

Has fresh and new choices

You can’t find elsewhere.

Stop by the Ginger Man!

Beers and burgers galore!

The flavors are thrilling,

You’ll want so much more!

If gluten and dairy free

Speak to your tummy

Visit By the Way Bakery

For baked goods so yummy!

Myx Creative Kitchen

Is what you might need!

Bold flavors that satisfy,

They’ll wow you, indeed!

Or maybe it’s Mexican

Tastes that you wish!

Then find Tomatillo

For the best taco dish!

A festival would

Not be complete

Without musical sounds

For dancing bare feet!

Miss Caroline Jones

Singing honest and true

Fills hearts with joy

Raising spirits anew!

The Wine + Food Festival,

A gourmet’s delight,

Feeds our bodies and souls

With each sip, with each bite!
