Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich Donates $3,000 from Dodge Ball Tourney to Abilis

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s middle school leadership cdlub, Torch Club, presented a check for $3,000 to Abilis on Monday afternoon.

Torch Club members were able to raise the funds from their 2018 Dodge Ball Tournament. Representatives from both Abilis and Adopt-A-Dog will meet BGCG’s Torch Club members on Monday, April 2, 2018.

The team who won the tournament was able to select an agency to donate some of the proceeds. Members of the dodge ball team Catalano & Sons, will present a check for $1,000 to Adopt-A-Dog later this month.

Every year, Torch Club members choose an organization to fundraise for.  In years past, they raised money for the Hanna Storm Foundation, Neighbor to Neighbor and K9s for Warriors. Camyrn Ferrara, BGCG’s athletic coordinator and Torch Club advisor, said,, “Torch Club members love this event because they like to work together and help the community.”
