Abilis, the nonprofit organization providing services and support to more than 800 individuals with special needs and their families, is pleased to announce its annual Spring for Abilis Gala on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Greenwich Country Club.
This wonderful, fun-filled night features Billy Blanks Jr. as the celebrity emcee with music provided by ETA Music. Dinner, dancing and a silent auction will also be part of the fun evening. To become a sponsor or purchase tickets, visit https://AbilisGala2024.
This year’s 2024 Spring for Abilis Gala co-chairs are Afton Fraser of Greenwich, Gena Mann of Weston, and Hillary Sollinger of Fairfield, who are all parents of young adults with disabilities living in one of Abilis’ newest residences and participate in Abilis’ day support programs. These families have directly experienced the important work that Abilis does throughout lower Fairfield County and are thrilled to support the organization in such a meaningful way.
Funds raised at the 2024 Spring for Abilis event will support new initiatives at Abilis.
“We are so excited for this year’s Spring for Abilis Gala,” noted Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Spring for Abilis will be at a new location this year at the Greenwich Country Club, a longtime supporter and partner of Abilis. Greenwich Country Club has been part of the Abilis Competitive Employment program, employing several of our Abilis community members, and we are excited to hold our favorite springtime Gala at their beautiful club.”

Stay tuned for exciting updates on supporting the Abilis Giving Garden, where supporters can purchase much-needed items for Abilis’ programs, such as diapers, books and educational games for Abilis’ Birth to Three program, and other needed items for Abilis’ lifespan programs. The Abilis Art Gallery will also be available online to bid on wonderful, one-of-a-kind artwork created by Abilis community members. There will also be a fabulous silent auction as part of this special evening. More information on the opening of the Giving Garden, Art Gallery and silent auction will be coming soon.
