Interim Superintendent Mayo Appoints Interim Cantor House Administrator

Greenwich Public Schools Interim Superintendent Ralph Mayo has announced the appointment of Ms. Christina Shaw as the Interim House Administrator for Greenwich High School’s Cantor House, effective August 8, 2018.

“Greenwich High School has been my second home for nearly two decades. I am thrilled and moved to have the opportunity to serve this institution in an administrative capacity,” Ms. Shaw said. “Having worked closely with the Cantor house support staff and faculty this year as the Innovation Lab program associate, I look forward to establishing a closer relationship with them as Cantor house administrator. I will also work tirelessly to represent our wonderful World Language teachers to enhance their voice at the high school.”

An educator for twenty-two years, Ms. Shaw has been with Greenwich High School since 2001, and has held leadership positions at the school as Social Studies Learning Facilitator, Assistant Dean of Students, and as Program Associate and founding teacher for Innovation Lab.

GHS Headmaster Dr. Chris Winters said, “Having worked with Christina in her teaching and leadership roles, I have observed first-hand the excellence and compassion that permeate her every decision. Christina will provide the students, staff, and parents of Cantor House and the World Language Program with strong leadership, creative problem solving, and thorough follow through. I have full confidence in Christina and welcome her with great enthusiasm to the leadership team of GHS.”

The Cantor House Administrator position was open due to the interim appointment of Jason Goldstein as Interim Principal of Eastern Middle School.
