The Greenwich RTM voted to approve a $542,404,659 budget for the town. Of that number $92,100,000 was for capital project funds.. Of that number, $92,100,000 reflects capital project funds. A high profile motion to reduce $40+ million funding for construction and design for the Hamill Rink modified flip in Morlot Park in Byram by $38,500,000, leaving only enough to fund design work, failed.

The Glenville Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a 9-11 memorial ceremony on Wednesday, Sept 11 at 7:00pm, at the Glenville Fire House. Sept 11, 2014 marked the start of a tradition to hold the Town’s 911 ceremony in Glenville where, where volunteers established a memorial fashioned from salvaged World Trade Center steel. Twenty-three people with ties to Greenwich who died on Sept. 11, 2001. The event will start with a welcome from the Glenville Volunteer
