Roost Kitchen + Coffee Cos Cob to Open Friday, Nov 5

Award-winning Chef, Greenwich native, and local business-owner Mike Pietrafeso is proud to announce the opening of his fourth location, Roost Kitchen + Coffee at 236 East Putnam Avenue in Cos Cob.

Sister store to Ada’s Kitchen + Coffee in Riverside, Roost Cos Cob will offer their signature scratch-made items, featuring locally sourced ingredients, in a seasonal menu and paired with locally roasted artisan coffee from Kestrel Coffee Roasters.

Chef Pietrafeso and his team will offer the convenience of freshly prepared foods and made-to-order breakfast and lunch items, including their popular homemade English muffin egg sandwich, overnight oats and kale + quinoa salad.

Soon after opening, Pietrafeso will add a dinner offering with family-friendly dishes to-go. As with all locations, online ordering will be available for either pick-up or delivery.

The refreshed space was designed by friend Peter Boldt, Principal and Founder of Boldt Studio. The goal was to create a cheerful and inviting neighborhood repose that would be complementary and reflective of the food. Mike is excited to open the doors and join the ranks of the many locally owned small businesses in Cos Cob.

“Growing up in town, I’ve always known Cos Cob to have a very entrepreneurial spirit,” Pietrafeso said. “Many local businesses have been serving this community for decades. I’m looking forward to becoming part of the rich history of establishments in the area.”

Opening in this location is serendipitous for Pietrafeso, who was once a sous chef in the same kitchen almost 15 years ago when it was Plum Pure Foods.

Now, a Cos Cob resident, he and his wife Krista, Greenwich High School sweethearts, are raising their three young daughters just a few minutes away from the new location.
