More Bad News out of Parks & Rec. This Time, It’s the Ferry Boat

Parks and Recreation announced on Tuesday, June 21 to all potential ferry users that due to unforeseen mechanical issues, one of the two Island Beach ferries will be out of service until further notice.

As a result, ferry service to Island Beach will run every hour on the hour 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A release from the Parks & Rec Department said, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working to resolve the issue. We will provide updates with any changes.”

Ferry service to Great Captain Island will not be affected and will operate on its posted schedule.
