Stanwich Students Collect Gifts for Shriners Hospital

At Stanwich, students are challenged to be their best selves and make the world a better place.

As part of her Moral Leadership project, Senior Lauren Henderson, encouraged Grade 4 and 5 students to donate a small gift for Shriners Hospital for Children. All members of the fourth and fifth grade participated in the gift collection.

In an email, Lauren told Stanwich’s parent community, “When my cousin Andrew was four years old, his chest was severely burned by a hot pot of coffee. Ever since, he has had numerous surgeries, which will be continued for most of his life. My goal is to help these children out in as many ways possible, as I am sure it will bring much joy to them during the holiday season.”

Over the holiday break, Lauren will deliver the gifts to the children at Shriners Hospital.
