Greenwich Pool in Byram Park Capital Campaign in a Sprint Toward May 2018 Opening

The Junior League of Greenwich and the Town of Greenwich are pleased to announce that this summer residents will have a special addition to their beach pass privileges – an outdoor pool.

This exciting debut began with the Junior League and the Town joining forces in 2010 to revitalize Byram Park and build a new outdoor community pool. At that time, the Junior League of Greenwich agreed to conduct a major capital campaign to provide funding towards “The Greenwich Pool,” the centerpiece of the Byram Park Master Plan.

The Greenwich Pool, with capacity for 300 people, will be fully handicapped accessible with a main pool, kiddie pool, splash pad, changing areas, showers, restrooms, a café and picnic area.

The grand opening of the new Greenwich Pool coincides with the centennial anniversary of Byram Park. For 100 hundred years, Greenwich residents have enjoyed this special property right on Long Island Sound. Nearly 30,000 visits are made each summer to this park, truly making it a place where our community gathers.

The Junior League of Greenwich’s Capital Campaign for the Greenwich Pool in Byram Park is now officially underway. All Greenwich residents will receive a public mailing with additional information on this campaign and The Greenwich Pool.

Residents are encouraged to consider donating to the Capital Campaign. Donations will help improve the quality of life in Greenwich, support outdoor activity and recreation, and make Greenwich the very best place to live and raise a family.

To donate, please:
• Look for the town wide mailing and use the donation envelope to send a donation by mail
• Visit www.jlgreenwich.org to make an online donation
• Buy a Brick! Go to the JLG website (above) and personalize your brick(s). Your personalized brick(s) will help to create the main walkway in the pool pavilion. Celebrate your family, buy a brick for each child, or commemorate loved ones.
