Greenwich Lions Club Wraps up Record Breaking Year

Greenwich Lions club president Kammi Mehta, left, and Foundation President Steve Tedesco have reported out a record breaking year in which the Lions raised and allocated approximately $23,000.

Members, pictured at the Memorial Day parade, filled club coffers through the annual grapefruit sale, pancake breakfast, and fund solicitation mailing.

This year saw the group surpass 4,000 eye screenings conducted at all local preschools. Other programs the Lions funded include summer camperships for kids, the Low Vision Center, Connecticut Lions Lions Eye Research Foundation at Yale, Greenwich High School Scholarships, Abilis, and Fidelco Guide Dogs.
