Worker Charged with Attempting to Steal Diamond Rings from a Home on Stanwich Rd

Carl A Bouteiller, 35, of 220 Pearl Harbor Street in Bridgeport was arrested

On Oct 20 at about noon Greenwich Police responded to a call about a possible Larceny having been committed by a worker at the residence 357 Stanwich Road.

After on scene investigation, it was determined that Carl A Bouteiller had taken two diamond rings belonging to the homeowner while working in the master bathroom.

According to Greenwich Police, after the rings were found missing by the homeowner, Mr. Bouteiller returned the rings to the bathroom in an attempt not to be discovered.

When questioned by his boss and the homeowner, Bouteiller admitted having attempted to steal the rings.

He was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt at Larceny. He was unable to post his $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 27.
