Erica P Restrepo, 41, of 16 Artic Street in Greenwich was arrested on Nov 15 by Greenwich Police at around 10:30pm on West Putnam Ave.
According to Greenwich Police, officers were detailed to back up another unit on a motor vehicle stop at the Citarella parking lot on West Putnam Ave.
Units arrived simultaneously and upon arrival were advised the a driver had been driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted. The operator, Ms Restrepo, was asked if she had a license and she admitted she did not, but rather did possess a passport.
Both officers detected the odor of alcoholic beverages and said Ms Restrepo ‘s eyes were red and glassy.
Police administered field sobriety tests, which Ms. Restrepo was unable to perform to standard. She was placed under arrest for DUI and also charged with Operating on the Wrong Side of Roadway, Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under Suspension, and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Signal.
Restrepo was assigned a court date on Nov 30, 2016 in Stamford Superior Court. She was able to post her $190 bond and was released to her husband.
