Ryan Fazio won the Connecticut GOP nomination to challenge incumbent Democratic Governor Ned Lamont. Republicans rallied behind Fazio after New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart suspended her campaign following news of her alleged misuse of a city issued p-card, and Betsy McCaughey dropped out of the race after failing to secure enough delegates to force a primary.
