In the shadow of the Merritt Parkway overpass, a Riversville Rd bridge over the East Byram River dated back to 1927. Chief engineer for Greenwich James Michel said that before the $1.96 Million project, the bridge was in “critical condition” for the past three or four years and had been increasingly restricted to trucks.
