Thursday night marked the 48th annual awards night at the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich and Greenwich Free Press lucked out with an exclusive feature of the event. There was laughter, a few tears and an impressive array of talented and giving Club members and volunteers were honored for their accomplishments. The first annual Dodge for a Cause was the brainchild of Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich athletic coordinator Camryn Ferrara. The fast paced tournament was a project of the Torch Club, a leadership program for middle and high school students at the Boys & Girls Club. It was the 14th year of a fun tradition that involved a visit from Santa on his fire truck and a giant soaker hose that cooled down everyone from campers to reporters. Head to the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich to Say Goodbye to Birdie This Weekend

The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich is staging performances of “Bye Bye Birdie: Young Performers Edition” this weekend. The cast has boys and girls aged six through 18. The 65 performers hail from all parts of Town and multiple schools, including GHS Thespians. There were no cuts during auditions.
