Greenwich Police Catch up with Last of Trio Wanted for Chase Bank Larceny

Angela Springs was arrested by Greenwich Police on January 11. Springs, 50, of 154th Street in New York, NY, was the last of three co-conspirators to be arrested for creating a fraudulent banking activity at Chase Bank at 197 Greenwich Ave.

Back on November 14, 2016, the trio of Springs, Sharron D Brown and Luther Smith tried to use a fake ID in an attempt to withdraw $4,982.75 from someone else’s bank account.  Greenwich Police responded to Chase Bank where they located Angela T Springs, 50, of 272 West 154th Street in New York, NY; Sharron D Brown, 26, of 67 Macombs Place in New York, NY; and Luther Smith, 24, of of 136 West 91st Street in New York, NY.

When police arrived on scene, they learned that a total of three individuals were involved in the events at the bank, and found them after driving  in the area.

Back in November, Greenwich Police determined that Ms. Springs used a fake ID in an attempt to withdraw $4,982.75 from someone else’s bank account, while assuming that person’s identity. Ms. Springs was also found in possession of cocaine, marijuana and various paraphernalia.

Springs was arrested in Stamford Superior Court on January 11, 2o17.  She was charged with Larceny 3, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3, Identity Theft 1, and two counts of Forgery 2.
