Houseplants are good for our health, particularly in winter. They add humidity to the air and counteract some pollutants. Houseplants and cut flowers also provide welcome green and color to lift the spirits. Equally important to our wellbeing are our companion animals; their presence can help us overcome ills ranging from high blood pressure to depression.
