Second Annual Pat Bria Charity Golf Tournament Set for June 29 at the Griff

CMS Students’ Capstone Project: Free Community Dance Class

Central Middle school 8th graders, Lilia Dubin and Jagger Levine have been busy planning their unique Capstone project. Noting that dance classes typically expensive, and many people don’t get enough exercise, Lilia and Jagger had the idea to teach a free dance class. The class is set for May 24 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon at Sportsplex 49 Brown House Rd, Stamford, CT 06902.

“Stamp Out Hunger is always a welcome boom to Neighbor to Neighbor’s food reserves, but this year the need is greater than ever. It may come as a surprise that even in a community as prosperous as Greenwich, more than 11% of residents face food insecurity – and that number is climbing. The rising costs of food, gas, and other everyday expenses, coupled with changes to eligibility for federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, have led to a 13% increase in our clients since this time last year.” – K Brent Hill, Executive Director of Neighbor to Neighbor
