LETTER: Fazio is committed to better governance

Submitted by Brooks Walker

Dear Greenwich Voters,

I am writing to urge your support of Ryan Fazio for State Senate.

Ryan has been a friend of mine for more than 14 years.  Any of my fellow Greenwich High School Class of 2008 graduates will confirm that Ryan was destined for public office.  We learned as much about civics and public policy from sitting at the lunch table with Ryan as we ever learned in class.  It was his passion then, and continues to drive him now.

I am proud to see such a capable and compassionate person of my generation willing to dedicate himself to bettering our communities and serving others.  It is also encouraging to see a candidate for public office who does not engage in mudslinging.  But then no one who knows Ryan expects any less.

Ryan is principled, very smart and wholly dedicated to making things better for Connecticut. This is not someone who is ‘dabbling’ in politics.  Effective and responsive government is Ryan’s lifeblood.  He has a solid and well-detailed plan to address the critical issues facing our state.  Ryan’s drive to pursue a State Senate seat at a high point in his career is a reflection of his strong commitment to better governance. Anyone who talked with Ryan as he has been walking through neighborhoods ringing doorbells to meet his constituents has gotten an idea of his energy and commitment.

Ryan’s supporters come from both sides of the political spectrum.  He is adept at finding common ground, and that is a critical trait in our extremely polarized environment.  We need Ryan’s capable and balanced judgement, his unwavering work ethic, and his strong moral compass.

Young people like myself need a reason to believe in Connecticut’s future, and Ryan has the ideas, the energy and the dedication to get us there.

Please vote for Ryan Fazio.
