The CT Dept of Transportation has scheduled a public information meeting via Zoom project on I-95 in the Greenwich/Stamford area.
The proposed project involves resurfacing asphalt and underlying concrete, bridge rehabilitation and roadside safety, and specifically aims to alleviate congestion in the southbound direction at Exit 3.
The public meeting is January 21, 2021.
The formal presentation will begin at 6:30pm.
Refer to the project webpage for more detail: http://portal.ct.gov/DOTGreenwich0056-0316.
The project is State Project No. 0056-0316.
Project Email: [email protected]
This project begins at the NY/CT state border on I-95 and extends approximately 6.63 miles to Exit 6.
This project also includes minor bridge rehabilitation, storm drainage improvements and upgrades to guide rail and concrete barrier.
The deceleration lane at Exit 3 in the southbound direction will be widened and extended to provide operational improvements.
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2022 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way and approval of permits.
The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $205 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 90% federal funds and 10% state funds.
The meeting will provide the community an opportunity for comment on the proposed project.
