Greenwich State Reps Bring Home $750,000 for Local Non-Profits

From the Greenwich House Delegation:

Representatives Hector Arzeno (D-151), Stephen Meskers (D-150), and Rachel Khanna (D-149) are thrilled to announce $750,000 for local organizations and programs through the budget stabilization bill, which will fund:

  • Elevator repairs at Greenwich Library
  • Roof replacement at Parsonage Cottage
  • Barbara’s House
  • River House
  • United Way of Greenwich to address childcare needs for families eligible for Care4Kids
  • Greenwich Alliance for Education
  • Family Centers

The Greenwich State House delegation worked diligently to secure these funds for organizations doing critical work in the Town of Greenwich and is committed to continuing to address the needs of residents, especially children and older adults in town.

State Representative Hector Arzeno noted, “Greenwich runs on the backs of our non-profits. The critical work they do provides the level of care our residents need.”

State Representative Rachel Khanna said, “I am pleased that the state was able to come through with funds to repair the elevators at Greenwich library. It’s important that people be able to use the elevators without fear of lurching or being stuck and be able to take full advantage of the wonderful services our library has to offer.”

“We are thrilled to see that our delegation’s hard work and continued advocacy has borne fruit and resulted in the allocation of funding to a few of the many organizations that serve our town,” said State Representative Stephen Meskers.
