John Margenot Honored for 9 years of Service on Town of Greenwich Ethics Board

Former First Selectman John Margenot was honored Wednesday at the Office of Attorney Robert Sisca by First Selectman Fred Camillo for his nine years of service on the Town of Greenwich Ethics Board.

Mr. Camillo was delighted to present the honor in the presence of the board members including Paul De Bary, Chair, Robert Sisca and long-time friend Bob Greele as well as Mr. Margenot’s wife, Dolly, son, Richard and grandson, Lucas among other audience members.

“Ah, He’s just a great guy,” Camillo said.

This is the latest honor for Mr. Margenot – Greenwich’s second most-winningest First Selectman in town history – and reflects the continuation of his life of public service.

In 2017, the atrium in the public safety complex was dedicated to the five-term First Selectman who also served on the RTM, BET and as selectman for two terms.

He is also a veteran and worked as a civil engineer prior to becoming a Greenwich elected official.
