Blankley emphasized the advantages of electing representatives to Hartford who have prior experience managing major financial budgets, building businesses and creating jobs.

“Managing a budget of near $20 billion is not something that can be learned overnight, it takes time and the willingness to make hard decisions” Blankley said Wednesday. “You can add to that my experience managing large scale corporate restructurings and major capital market activity and my entrepreneurial job creation record. Our state has problems and I have the skills and determination to find and implement solutions that will directly impact the 36th district and Connecticut as a whole.”

Blankley is running to represent Connecticut’s 36th State Senate District, which includes Greenwich and parts of Stamford and New Canaan. He lives in Greenwich with his wife Vera.
