Community Conversations in Greenwich to Feature: Attorney General Tong and Secretary of the State Thomas

Two upcoming community conversations are being co-sponsored by the YWCA Greenwich and 100 Black Men of Stamford, Inc., a civic organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life in the African-American community through fostering the development of young African American men.

The first is a conversation with Attorney General William Tong on May 6th from 6:30-8:00pm.

Attorney General Tong will talk about consumer protections and safeguarding residents’ rights. He will also discuss the Attorney General’s role and how he helps Connecticut residents, as well as how federal actions are impacting Connecticut.

Stephanie Thomas, Connecticut Secretary of the State

A second community conversation featuring Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas will take place on May 22nd from 6:30-8:00pm.

The topic will be an update on Connecticut expansions and possible federal restrictions on voting access. Learn about absentee voting for all, what impact will federal changes have in CT and other ways the Secretary of State helps CT residents.
