Paulmeno: Oberlander Has Facts, Not Sound Bites

Dear Editor,

Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or unaffiliated, if you’ve met, heard, or spoken with Jill, you’ve undoubtedly come away impressed with her experience, issues knowledge and ideas for positive impact. Chances are good that you have. She’s been out and about at an unprecedented level; knocking on doors, holding “listening tours”, debating, attending “meet & greets” in the homes of Democrats and Republicans alike; unheard of!

She’s elegant, eloquent, and informed. Her professional background is relevant to Greenwich and the State and includes transportation, financial analysis, environmental impact, and rebuilding and revitalizing communities.

She’s thrice served on our RTM sitting on Finance, Labor Contracts, Budget Overview, and Plan of Conservation committees. She asks ALL the tough questions before voting.

She’s a moderate Democrat who is clear on her positions and articulate in explaining them and their relevance for Greenwich’s 150th District.

She has facts, not sound bites, to support them. She brings critical thinking and a trained legal mind to legislative matters and their impact on coastline Greenwich, which includes our most unique and varied population from the perspective of culture, race and language, socio-economic disparities, specialized and affordable housing, and special-needs populations. She supports women’s’ rights, minority rights, voting rights, small businesses, education and seniors in every way; critical issues, especially for the people of the 150th.

I urge you to vote for the most qualified candidate in every way, Jill Oberlander, on November 4th.
