CBIA Endorses Fred Camillo for Another Term as State Rep

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association endorsed State Rep. Fred Camillo for another term.

“We believe that the next session of the General Assembly will be one of the most important in many years,” CBIA President and CEO Joseph Brennan said in letter to Camillo. “We wish you success in the November election and look forward to working with you during the next two years to create a stronger economy, a more competitive Connecticut and a future that works for everyone in the state.”

CBIA is the states largest business organization with thousands of member companies.

“I am once again very honored to receive the endorsement of Connecticut’s leading business advocacy organization, Connecticut Business & Industry Association,” Camillo said in an email to GFP. “They are in the trenches every day fighting to make our state more competitive by eliminating harmful fees and taxes as well as burdensome regulations that go beyond what is needed and reasonable. To be recognized by them for working for our state’s businesses and  for a healthy environment for them to thrive is something I am proud of as they are an association I admire and respect. ”

‘This upcoming legislative session will be one of the most critical we’ve faced as our economy continues to recover slowly, lagging behind the region and the country,” said CBIA president & CEO Joe Brennan in the letter. “We must elect candidates who understand the urgency facing our state, and will make the decisions necessary to grow the economy, create jobs, and help Connecticut reach its full potential.

CBIA is Connecticut’s largest business organization, with thousands of member companies, small and large, representing a diverse range of industries from every part of the state.

DEADLINE: October 28 is the deadline for letters to the Greenwich Free Press editor in support of  candidates in the Nov. 8 election.
