Everyone loves Onyx. He’s a shelter favorite at Stamford Animal Control going a year. Yes, a full year!
This Black Lab Mix is about 6 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. He is neutered and healthy. He knows his commands and is so eager to please.
He is healthy, friendly, energetic and deserves a second look. What’s the catch? Nothing. He’s okay with cats and mellow dogs. We met Onyx on Friday and were so impressed with his personality.
Onyx has been passed over because many potential adopters judge him based on how he behaves in his cage (he barks and jumps when he’s locked up).
But the second Onyx gets out of the kennel and is walked on a leash, or plays in the yard, he is his true self.
Onyx is delighted to go out for a walk, sit and give paw, or slather you in kisses. He’d love to find a home where he can snuggle on the couch with his family and go for walks. He is a really good boy. Head over to Stamford Animal Control and ask to meet Onyx.
