Adopt-A-Dog to Participate in All Day “Clear the Shelters” Event

Clear the Shelters is coming back for its second year on Saturday, July 23.

Last year 21 dogs were adopted from Adopt-A-Dog during the first Clear the Shelters event.

Clear the Shelters is a nationwide adoption event where adoption fees are discounted or waived for the day to help end pet homelessness.

Clear the Shelters is an amazing event that was started when NBC 4 New York / WNBC and Telemundo 47 / WNJU partnered up together for to find homeless pets forever homes.

Adopt-A-Dog’s mission is to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs and cats. We go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of every animal entering our shelter.

Last year nearly 20,000 homeless pets found their forever homes. Stop by Adopt-A-Dog on Saturday, July 23 from 10am-4pm to adopt your new best friend and help end pet homelessness.

A real-time pet “Adoption Tracker” – posted on ClearTheShelters.com – will record the total number of pets that are adopted across all participating markets

Use the hashtag #ClearTheShelters to follow the effort on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Clear the Shelters themed Snapchat filters will be activated on July 23. Spanish-language viewers can use the hashtag #DesocuparLosAlbergues
