At the OGA annual meeting Candace Garthwaite was honored. Recently she worked to have Old Greenwich proclaimed as a Village District to help preserve the character of its downtown business district. Also, Martin Waters from Old Greenwich Real Estate LLC, who purchased “the Nolan Estate,” comprised of 17 shops, 17 offices, 10 apartments and 5 warehouses, had no plans whatsoever to change the façades of the buildings on Sound Beach Ave or Arcadia. Simulated Divided Light vs Snap-In Grills for Windows

An Intro to Insulated Glass First, a little background: modern windows are made as an assembly like a sandwich with with double (or sometimes triple) layers of glass with spacing between them, usually filled with Argon gas, which has 50% less heat conduction than air. After New York Outlaws Sales of Puppies in Retail Stores, Greenwich P&Z Comfortable Town Regs Do Likewise

A law that went into effect in New York on Dec 15, 2024, “New York State Puppy Mill Pipeline Law,” is designed to stop the flow of cruelly bred puppies to pet stores in that state. Changes to Corporate Transparency Act may create an opening for small business scams

Beginning January 1, 2025, most corporations, LLCs, and other similar entities created or registered to do business in the US must file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Greenwich Hospital Returns to P&Z with New Proposal for Smilow Cancer Center

Before denying the application for a new building in the RMF (multi family) zone in 2021 and 2022, Greenwich P&Z urged the hospital to accommodate the Smilow Cancer Center within existing properties, blend into the surrounding neighborhood and farm out services to other locations to free up space on the main campus.
