Father Richard Murphy Named 2025 Greenwich St Patrick’s Parade Grand Marshal

Father Murphy was ordained a priest in 1996 at St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport by then, Bishop Edward Egan. His first assignment was St. Thomas the Apostle in Norwalk, after that St. Cecilia in Stamford, then as pastor he was assigned to St. Theresa in Trumbull followed by being made pastor of Our Lady of Peace in Stratford, In 2014 he was assigned to St. Michael parish in Greenwich. Greenwich Police Remind Residents of Connecticut’s Social Host Laws

Anyone who owns, rents, or controls a property whether it is indoors or outdoors where a party or gathering is held is considered a “host” under this law. This includes homeowners, landowners, parents, and guardians. Even young people who throw a party while their parents are out of town can be considered as a host and be charged under this law.
