Sebass Lights up Greenwich Hospital in Red, White & Blue

As the sun set Thursday night Greenwich Hospital began to glow.

But unlike the parades of honking honking police, fire and Eversource vehicles to show gratitude of frontline workers, this event was silent.

Sebastian Dostmann of Sebass Events and Entertainment positioned red, white and blue lights to illuminate the hospital facade along Perryridge Road.

Dostmann’s full-service event planning operation that provides production, audio, visual, lighting design and entertainment services has been slow, with so many events being canceled due to the pandemic.

Not one to stay idle, he set his sights on illuminating a series of outdoor venues including the YMCA, Red Cross, Riverside Yacht Club, Shreve Crump & Low, and the fire houses in Cos Cob, Sound Beach and Amogerone.

On Thursday night a few nurses came out to snap selfies in front of the glowing building.

“It still feels surreal,” said one nurse of the pandemic. A minute later she went back in the building to work.
