The Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board (GRAB) and Greenwich Green & Clean are holding their annual paper shredding event on Saturday, April 27, 2019 9:30am to 12:00 noon at the Island Beach Parking Lot.
The cost is $2 per box of paper (cash only). There is a maximum of 5 boxes per car. Box size is 12” x18” x12″ and papers you want shredded should be brought inside a cardboard box or rigid container. Boxes will be emptied and returned.
Papers in bags will not be accepted.
Shred ONLY Sensitive/Personal Documents
– Old Financial, Legal, Tax, Social Security, Medical papers
– Only documents that contain personal information
-Paper will be shredded on site
– Shreds will be recycled REMOVE ALL tyvec envelopes, folders, newspaper, metal clips, plastic bindings, report covers, cardboard, binders.
Staples are OK.
This event is for Greenwich residents.
Also, in honor of Earth Day, GRAB and Green & Clean are collecting new, un-opened toiletries and samples from hotels and doctors offices including tooth brushes, tooth paste, shampoo, soap, lotion, deodorant. All sizes and items are welcome. Neighbor-to-Neighbor will distribute. Drop off toiletry items with your shredding.
