During the months of October and November 2018, Peace Community Chapel held its 4th Annual Coat Drive for the Lower Fairfield County area homeless.

Donations flooded in this year, topping last year’s total of 156 by nearly double! 285 coats were collected at the conclusion of the drive, and on December 8 & 9, all coats were delivered.

Westy Self-Storage in Stamford partnered with Peace Community Chapel, and served as a drop center for the local community. They provided racks and space for the dozens of coats that came in.

The four primary shelters that received the coats were InspiricaCT and Pacific House (Stamford), Bridgeport Rescue Mission (Bridgeport), and The Open Door Shelter (Norwalk).

The centers were overwhelmed with the donations made, and most especially, the generosity from the community.

Peace Community Chapel would like to thank all who donated to this year’s coat drive.
