Mark Your Calendar for Wallace Center “Friend-Raising” Events

September is National Senior Center Month and the Friends of the Wallace Center (formerly the Greenwich Senior Center) will host a variety of “friend-raising” and fundraising events so mark your calendars.

The Wallace Center provides Greenwich residents 55 and older opportunities to form and maintain social connections. Membership is free.

The Center offers a wide variety of classes, programs and lectures with a focus on health and wellness, lifelong learning, the creative arts and technology.

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025 there will be a Happy Hour at Caren’s Cos Cobber at 31 East Putnam Avenue in Cos Cob from 4:00-6:00pm with 10% of all drink proceeds generously donated to the Wallace Center.

Local celebrity bartenders include:

Fred Camillo – Town of Greenwich First Selectman
Tina Courpas – CT State Representative (R-149)
Steven Meskers – CT State Representative (D-150)
Andrea Blume – Greenwich Chamber of Commerce

The celebrity bartenders will donate their tips to this worthy cause.

Other events include an exclusive A.L.C. pop-up shop on Wednesday September 17, 2025 featuring the Fall 2025 collection. That event will be held at the Wallace Center Cafe 299 Greenwich Avenue from 10 – 6:00pm, with 10% of all proceeds benefiting the Wallace Center.

On Thursday, Sept 18, be ready for an afternoon of shopping at J.McLauglin 55 East Putnam Avenue, from 1:00-5:00pm, with 10% of all sales generously benefiting the Wallace Center.

Third, mark your calendars for the Wallace Center Community Day on the lawn at 299 Greenwich Avenue (rain or shine) Saturday September 20, 2025 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

This event is designed to bring awareness to the Wallace Center’s programs, mission and upcoming renovations as well as fun for the whole family.
