Grejs Shelcaj, a GHS Senior, and her friend India Smith have organized the first ever “Undies for Everyone” fundraiser Sunday, Oct 22, from 10:00amto 2:00pm in front of the Board of Education building at 290 Greenwich Avenue.
This fundraiser is being hosted for the Greenwich local non-profit “The Undies Project,” a local non-profit, which focuses on providing underwear to men, women, and children who need it, to improve their lives.
Underwear is the most needed, yet most under-donated need. Our fundraiser includes monetary funds through the bake sale, and donation bin with new packs of underwear.
The girls will have a stand with coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and cookies that people can buy to fundraise, and they will also have a basket for people to donate packs of new underwear.
This is the First Ever Town Wide Undies for Everyone fundraiser organized and led by high school students.
Also, the Undies Project is hosting a fundraising event Saturday night at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Riverside CT 06878. The event features an out-of-the-ordinary show with dynamic duo Larry & Raven. Enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and desserts by Aux Délices, complimentary wine and beer with a signature drink created especially for the event, fabulous silent auction, and of course, extraordinary entertainment. MC Billy Blanks Jr. will add an additional distinctive flair to the event. The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 7:00pm. The event runs until 10:00pm.
