Dom Delfino, owner of Joey B’s in Cos Cob demonstrates his generosity to the community, opening his arms to local sports teams so their players can serve behind their counter and raise money for their teams.
Many are from Greenwich High School, including the boys water polo, boys & girls swimming, skiing and football, rugby and others.
This past Tuesday, Mr. Delfino allowed the GHS Girls Varsity Water Polo players to step behind his renowned counter and serve his loyal clientele.
Don’s wife Lu gave the girls their training and they stepped into their roles with a lovely balance of seriousness and joy.
Dom and Lu allowed the team to put out tip jars and boy, did they get filled. The team’s fundraising for the season was done.
Joey B’s is located at 118 River Road Extension, in Cos Cob.
