The club’s mission is to empower girls through education. Through its partnership with She’s the First, a non profit organization, Greenwich High School students support girls in developing countries be the first one in their family to graduate high school. Last year, the club raised enough funds to give a scholarship to Lisbeth, a girl attending secondary school in the Sacred Valley of Peru.

Margaret Zhang is co-president of the club along with Michelle Xiong.

“Being a part of such a great cause is so touching,” Margaret said. “One of my favorite activities is writing letters back to our scholar who sent us a letter and a few drawings.”

The club is hoping to continue supporting Lisbeth for a second year. Tickets for SpinforSTF are $10 each for a bike and there will also be a raffle for a $25 gift card to Athleta of Greenwich.
