Friends of Autistic People and Greenwich Magazine are co-sponsors of a cocktail party in celebration of FAP’s 20 year anniversary. The event is set for On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
A highlight of the evening will be meeting Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, who will be honored for their outstanding philanthropy.
Also, there will be Brazilian music by Nanny Assis, and a special informal fashion show featuring children with autism and Olga Litvinenko, Ms. Connecticut.
In addition, awesome teen magician and illusionist Ben Zabin, will be mingling with the guests and entertaining them with his magic.
There will be a silent and live auction.
Wine and bubbly will be provided by Val’s Putnam Wines and there will be heavy hors d’oeuvres by chef Susan Kane.

The event will be held at a private Greenwich home off North Street.
Proceeds will benefit Friends of Autistic People raising funds to support music therapy programs for children and adults with autism.
Friends of Autistic People is a 501(c)(3) charitable advocacy organization dedicated to bringing about an environment where adult children with autism can be assured of receiving high quality care and assistance after they turn 21. FAP is the one of the few non-profits in Connecticut who advocate appropriate services for children as they mature into adulthood, on the entire Autism spectrum.
Parents and designers, Tommy and Dee Hilfiger maintain longstanding commitments of support for nonprofit organizations and efforts including Race to Erase MS, the Global Lyme Alliance and The Fresh Air Fund, and together they sit on the board of directors for Autism Speaks and Glam 4 Good. Additionally, they have worked with Millennium Promise, Breast Health International, Save the Children, the World Wildlife Fund, the Make-A- Wish Foundation, and the MLK, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation.
Tommy is the founder and principal designer of Tommy Hilfiger, while Dee, born to English and Turkish parents, traveled the world as a model before launching her own handbag brand in 2012 and is currently the co-owner, creative director and global brand ambassador for Judith Leiber.
Tommy and Dee met in 2005 and married two years later. In 2009 they welcomed their son, Sebastian, the youngest of their seven children: Rich, Ally, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Julian and Alex.
