63rd Greenwich Lions Club Annual Pancake Breakfast Set for April 18 at Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center

On Saturday, April 18 from 8:00am to 12:00pm, the Lions Club of Greenwich’s Annual Pancake Breakfast will take place at the Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center.

“It will be the 63rd Pancake Breakfast for the Lions Club and we are excited about our first year at the exciting new Cohen Center,” said Allen O’Farrell, event chair and past president of the Old Greenwich Lions.

Not changing are the top notch Lions Pancake chefs who will serve up traditional and some  specialized flapjack varieties. The menu includes unlimited pancakes, sausages, syrup, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk.

“The cooks will be manning the grills and flipping the pancakes and sausages to order right in full view of the diners,” O’Farrell explained while boasting a bit.

“This event is more than just pancakes though, as we have blue grass musical entertainment, a bake sale, door prizes, free eye screening for 2 to 6 year olds and face painting by Faces By Wells, all for a great cause. We will also be presenting the annual Lion’s Club donations to over 30 local non-profits,” O’Farrell added.

Event proceeds will support the many service projects that the Greenwich Lion’s Club conducts to help Greenwich residents and those in surrounding communities. Tickets are available in advance for $8/each at Perrot Library’s adult circulation desk and/or from any Greenwich Lions Club member or $10/each at the door; kids five years old and under are free. Alongside the annual Grapefruit Sale, this event is the club’s largest annual fundraiser.

For more than 100 years the Lions Club of Greenwich has provided and supported health and human services through numerous projects to help those in need locally, regionally, and around the world.
