The First Congregational Church of Greenwich invites the community to kick off the holiday season at its 59th Annual Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale, opening Saturday, November 29, from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

The GHS Freshman Football Team unloading the tree delivery from New Hampshire.
Every tree tells a story — and every purchase helps write a new one. Net proceeds from the sale benefit eight local charities supporting children and families in need throughout Greenwich and Fairfield County.
This year’s recipients will be Call A Ride, Greenwich Alliance for Education, Mothers for Others, Pacific House, The Undies Project, The United Way, The YWCA Harmony Project and The FCCOG Fund for Outreach.
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year — to buy a tree that gives back,” said a co-chair of the 2025 Tree Sale Committee. “We’re offering more fraser trees than ever, fresh from New Hampshire, plus artisan decorated and undecorated wreaths that will make any home look ‘fir-st class’ this season.”
At 8:00am sharp, volunteers — including the Greenwich High School Freshman Football Team — will unload more than 500 fraser and balsam firs, transforming the church lawn into a winter wonderland of evergreens.
Along with trees, the sale will feature wreaths, natural pine roping, and the ever-popular “Bowling’s Last Stand” tree stands.
Now in its 59th year, the sale remains one of Greenwich’s longest-running and most beloved holiday traditions — a community effort powered by volunteers, students, and neighbors who come together to spread cheer and raise vital funds for local causes.
Shoppers are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection of trees. For more information, visit www.fccog.org
