What to Know about Greenwich Fourth of July Fireworks, Thursday, July 2

Greenwich Police reminded the town that Fourth of July Fireworks are scheduled for Thursday July 2.

The Greenwich Police Department is reminding residents and visitors attending this year’s fireworks celebrations to plan ahead and expect increased traffic around both Binney Park and Greenwich Point (Tod’s Point).

Fireworks Schedule

• Binney Park: 9:10pm – approximately 9:30pm
• Greenwich Point (Tod’s Point): 9:35pm – approximately 9:55pm

At Greenwich Point, visitors should arrive early and park only in designated lots. Parking along roadways within the park is prohibited.

If the park reaches capacity, it will be closed to additional vehicles, with traffic diverted at Sound Beach Avenue and Nawthorne Road. If capacity is not reached earlier, the park will close to all incoming vehicles at 8:30pm.

Following the start of the fireworks, Shore Road will be closed to all inbound traffic until the park has cleared.

At Binney Park, parking will be available in local municipal lots and at the train station. Wesskum Wood Road will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event, and officers may implement additional traffic control measures as needed.

The Greenwich Police Department encourages attendees to allow extra travel time, follow posted signage and officers’ directions, and be patient as large crowds exit both venues after the fireworks conclude.
