Compare and Contrast our Slate to the Opposition:
For every election cycle over the last century, except one, the citizens of Greenwich have entrusted Republicans with the Town’s financial management, despite, Republicans being outnumbered by Democrats and unaffiliated voters combined.
This trust has delivered a fiscally robust town with exceptional services, making Greenwich a model for communities nationwide. Voters consistently support our Republican approach which balances community needs with fiscal discipline.
Now three Republican BET incumbents, dissatisfied with the carefully selected balanced BET slate nominated by the RTC is forcing a primary. Their slate which is being pushed by previously ousted Republican leadership pushes a divisive nationally inspired political agenda. This approach – imposing a more divisive tone – simply does not work in Greenwich despite the intense desire of some to eliminate longstanding Republicans from representing our party.
Don’t be fooled. The experienced leadership slate endorsed by Fred Camillo and Lauren Rabin represents you, your interests, your values. The other slate does not.
• We offer a better probability of retaining control of the BET come November.
– They do not. That means higher taxes.
• We believe in public service and common decency.
– They seek personal power and resort to lies, innuendos and slander to
attack us.
• We believe in keeping Greenwich an attractive community for everyone.
– They want to cut services and build inferior infrastructure projects.
• We believe in forming a consensus around challenging issues.
– They believe in their way or the highway.
• We believe in thoughtful, methodical analysis of the Town budget.
– They want to cut dollars randomly at the eleventh hour with no analysis whatsoever.
• We believe in community.
– They believe only in that they are right about everything
